The Aquila Trust has recently made their first donation to a community upliftment program in Stellenbosch, named “Straatlig” (translated as “Street Light”).  The donation specifically goes toward the establishment of a counselling centre for troubled youth.  Straatlig clients are usually homeless people, who are then assisted to regain their self-esteem and human dignity, expand their capacities, and be guided back into the community as full-participating and full-contributing members.  For more information on this NGO, go to www.straatlig.org.
